Ridge Wood Military Cemetery, Belgium

8th King’s Royal Rifle Corps arrived in France in May 1915 as part of 41 Brigade, 14th Division and in early June moved to the front at Dickebusch near Ypres. On 10th June they were relieved from the front line trenches and moved back to Ridge Wood . The next day, 11th June, a platoon of B Company were in the support line and it was here that Rifleman Ride was killed but the Battalion Diary does not give any further details.
